The team: the statistical services team provides support to a broad range of medical and clinical researchers based at Royal Perth Hospital. This position is an opportunity to join a small, highly motivated and experienced group and be involved in cutting edge medical research.

About the opportunity: as a highly motivated statistician you will join a group of experienced statisticians to assist researchers on the Royal Perth Hospital campus with statistical analyses and data management. You will provide advice on statistical design, conduct analysis and assist with reporting of research projects conducted at the RPH campus.

To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate:

  • a degree in mathematics and statistics, or other relevant discipline with a major in statistics
  • postgraduate biostatistics qualifications or experience (desirable)
  • experience in providing biostatistics services in a medical research environment (Desirable).
  • experience with statistical software packages for manipulation and analysis of data sets.
  • knowledge of sample size estimation and study designs used in clinical research.
  • well-developed communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
