About the work area

The UWA Centre for Social Impact (CSI UWA) is located in the Business School at the University of Western Australia and is part of a national Centre for Social Impact (CSI) network. The mission of the CSI is to create beneficial social impact in Australia through teaching, research, measurement and the promotion of public debate. As a Centre of the Business School, the UWA Centre for Social Impact seeks to advance the welfare and prosperity of the people through excellence in business education and research.

About the opportunity

In this role, you will work with the Director of the CSI UWA to develop strategy and operational plans for the Centre and manage implementation, and you will oversee all administrative and finance functions of the Centre. You will also be responsible for maintaining existing research, industry and public engagement relationships, and working proactively to identify and develop new funding, research and thought leadership partnerships locally, nationally and internationally.   

About you

To succeed in this role, it is critical that you possess a university-level educational qualification, thorough understanding of Higher Education as well as a strong business acumen to proactively follow-up funding leads, promote the Centre and assist with managing budgets. Your relationship building skills as well as your drive to achieve social impact, innovate and engage with stakeholders across the NFP, government and business communities will be key to your success. Prior experience with grant proposals in a research context, industry engagement experience across different sectors, and responding to government and business tenders would be highly regarded, as would  prior experience with the Not-for-Profit sector.
