About the opportunity

  • UWA Technology enables teaching, research, and administration by providing secure, reliable, and innovative digital infrastructure and services.
  • The Cyber Security Operations role focuses on monitoring, analyzing, and responding to threats, conducting proactive threat hunting, and managing vulnerabilities.
  • Responsibilities include incident response, malware analysis, collaboration with IT teams, and maintaining awareness of evolving cyber threats.

About you

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent work experience in information or cyber security.
  • Demonstrated experience in security operations, including monitoring, analysis, and incident response.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Sentinel or other SIEM platforms, including the ability to write or modify simple detection queries.
  • Experience with Microsoft Defender or similar endpoint protection and response technologies.
  • Broad understanding of infrastructure, platform, and cloud technologies.

Note: A current National Police Clearance Certificate will be required by the successful applicant.
