About the opportunity
- UWA Technology enables teaching, research, and administration by providing secure, reliable, and innovative digital infrastructure and services.
- The Cyber Security Operations role focuses on monitoring, analyzing, and responding to threats, conducting proactive threat hunting, and managing vulnerabilities.
- Responsibilities include incident response, malware analysis, collaboration with IT teams, and maintaining awareness of evolving cyber threats.
About you
- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent work experience in information or cyber security.
- Demonstrated experience in security operations, including monitoring, analysis, and incident response.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Sentinel or other SIEM platforms, including the ability to write or modify simple detection queries.
- Experience with Microsoft Defender or similar endpoint protection and response technologies.
- Broad understanding of infrastructure, platform, and cloud technologies.
Note: A current National Police Clearance Certificate will be required by the successful applicant.
