- Base salary range: $108,413 – $120,287 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation.

About the opportunity
- Lead the planning and oversight of turf management and grounds maintenance programs across UWA sites, including sports fields, turf cricket wickets, synthetic surfaces and landscaped spaces, ensuring high-quality, sustainable outcomes.
- Provide specialist technical advice on sports turf management, turf renovation, turf establishment, fertilisation and integrated pest and weed management, while identifying and resolving complex turf-related issues and driving best-practices approaches to maintain high-quality sporting and recreational facilities.
- Coordinate, supervise and evaluate grounds maintenance contractors, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with service standards, operational priorities and stakeholder requirement and agreed performance outcomes.
About you
- Certificate IV Sports Turf Management or equivalent competency.
- Substantial relevant experience managing grounds and turf projects, sports fields, turf cricket wickets, synthetic maintenance and passive turf surfaces.
- Demonstrated ability to provide specialist technical advice and guidance in turf management and grounds maintenance activities, including the application of best-practice maintenance techniques.
- Experience in sports field management, surface preparation, line marking, and supervising contractors delivery grounds maintenance works.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, sound knowledge of work health and safety principles, and highly developed organisational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities and stakeholder requirements.

A current National Police Clearance, and “C” class driver’s licence will be required by the successful applicant. Some after-hours work may be required, and applicants must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position and provide their own vehicle.
