About the team

Development and Alumni Relations [DAR] oversees the University’s alumni engagement and philanthropic strategy. The function works collaboratively across the University to ensure the advancement strategy is built into outreach efforts across campus. The core responsibility of the development team is to build on the University’s community relations and secure philanthropic support for the University.

The UWA Alumni Relations and Development team constitutes the leading major gifts advancement operations in Australia, having exceeded its $400 million target for the New Centenary Campaign several months before the end. You will join a passionate and well-established team during the exciting planning phase of the next ambitious campaign.

About the opportunity

You will participate in planning and implementing a range of programs and events designed to establish and cultivate relationships between the University and prospective bequestors and donors. An important aspect will be to engage meaningfully with confirmed bequestors and donors. You will also be responsible for the accurate and timely liaison with the legal profession on behalf of the Bequests program.

About you

You will possess a successful track record of securing funds from individuals as well as a passion for philanthropy. As an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills, you will be able to build relationships with a range of senior stakeholders. Experienced fundraisers specialising or seeking to specialise in bequests will be highly regarded.
