About the team 

The WA Health Translation Network (WAHTN) represents a new, collaborative way for universities, hospitals, medical research institutes and health affiliated organisations to work together in Western Australia. The Consumer and Community Health Research Network (CCHRN) is an enabling platform of WAHTN expanding consumer and community involvement in research across WAHTN partners.

About the opportunity 

In this position of Project Officer, you will, under limited direction, be responsible for implementing plans of CCHRN’s Program of Work; line managing Development Team staff; maintaining and managing CCHRN’s website and databases; and plan, design and participate in communications, marketing and events to effectively engage CCHRN stakeholders.

To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Substantial project management, marketing and promotion experience
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, planning and organisational skills with ability to build key relationships
  • Proficiency in computing skills including word processing, spreadsheets, databases,  and web technologies and design software such as InDesign
  • Ability to review, develop and implement policies and procedures
  • Research, analytical, problem solving and report writing skills, and proficiency in synthesising information
  • Capacity to deal with matters tactfully, discreetly, confidently and with integrity

In this busy role, you will be a proactive individual with highly proficient computing skills and experience. You will have the ability to interact and engage with researchers, the community and consumers to facilitate public involvement in research. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will be highly organised with a keen eye for detail.
