  • Opportunity for an individual with substantial events experience to play a key role in the planning and delivery of flagship University recruitment and reputation events and initiatives.
  • Salary packaging available.
  • Full-time appointment on an ongoing basis.
  • Base salary: $91,833 plus 17% superannuation.

About the area

The Brand, Marketing and Recruitment (BMR) division exists for the purpose of showcasing the best of UWA, ultimately enhancing reputation and growth, while particularly driving student enrolments. To aid achievement of this, BMR drives all of the university’s communications, marketing, recruitment and admissions activity.

About the opportunity

  • Coordinate the administrative and logistical aspects of a wide variety of University events and initiatives including Graduations and Open Day, as well as student recruitment, brand reputation, relationship and engagement events.
  • Support UWA’s outreach and engagement goals through providing a centralised, coordinated and professional event logistics and delivery function.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers to facilitate a consistent and professional standard of events.

About you

  • Relevant tertiary qualification and/or demonstrated equivalent competency in event management
  • Substantial relevant experience working in a busy end-to-end event coordination role at an appropriate level
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills with a strong client focus
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain attention to detail and solve problems while working under pressure
  • Highly developed planning and organisational skills, with demonstrated ability to manage events projects on time and within budget 

Note: “C” class driver’s licence, and the ability to work outside normal office hours, including evenings and weekends, will be required by the successful applicant.
