About the opportunity

• Lead transformative injury management and prevention initiatives to support UWA’s commitment to a safe and healthy workplace.
• Collaborate closely with senior leadership to design and implement strategic policies that drive health and wellbeing priorities across the University.
• Provide expert consultancy on complex injury cases, facilitating effective return-to-work solutions and promoting sustained workplace health and recovery.

About you

• Relevant qualifications as an allied health professional (e.g., Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Physiotherapy, or a related field).
• Advanced experience in managing complex injury cases, including both physical and psychological conditions, with a focus on achieving positive, sustainable outcomes.
• Strong knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety and Workers’ Compensation legislation and best practices.
• Excellent skills in stakeholder engagement, with the ability to effectively advise, influence, and guide senior leadership.
• Demonstrated decision-making, organisational, and planning skills with a proactive approach to driving continuous improvement.

Special Requirements:

• Current National Police Clearance Certificate.
• Physical capability to meet the requirements of the role.
