The principal role of the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education) is to lead and oversee the educational and global engagement activities of the University.
The Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academic) is responsible for strategic leadership and oversight of curriculum design and innovation, including academic quality assurance and risk management, academic standards, learning and teaching excellence and scholarship strategies.
About the opportunity
- You will be involved in designing and managing innovative learning activities and assessment practices to foster academic integrity and skills development, including the integration and application of a variety of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools.
- Play a leading role in assisting academic teaching staff in transforming assessment practices to enhance learning and effectively utilise AI.
- A key component of the role is liaising with Schools to review and refine curriculum and assessment practices.
About you
- Relevant postgraduate tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or demonstrated equivalent competency.
- Extensive knowledge of educational theories on current learning and teaching practices, combined with the ability to lead teams that apply these theories to practical applications in curriculum and assessment design.
- Knowledge of a range of artificial intelligence tools with the ability to explain their uses, benefits and limitations to both academic and professional staff.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the threats to assessments and academic integrity more broadly, with knowledge of associated security measures available to mitigate against threats.
- Experience in supervision or providing guidance to other staff.
