About the area

The principal role of the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education) is to lead and oversee the educational and global engagement activities of the University. The Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academic) is responsible for strategic leadership and oversight of curriculum design and innovation, including academic quality assurance and risk management, academic standards, learning and teaching excellence and scholarship strategies.

About the opportunity

  • You will provide operational and technical support for the development of learning activities and assessment practices that promote student engagement, academic integrity, and skills development.
  • Assist in the implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools within teaching and assessment contexts.
  • Liaise with schools and students to facilitate curriculum and assessment reviews and contribute to the administration of educational design projects.

About you

  • A relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent competency.
  • Foundational knowledge of educational theories related to learning and teaching practices, with some experience applying these in curriculum and assessment design.
  • Awareness of AI tools in education and their potential applications, benefits, and limitations.
  • Basic understanding of academic integrity issues in assessment and general security measures to mitigate risks. 
  • Experience in supporting senior staff in preparing training or information guides for other staff and/or students.
