About the area

This role is central to the Campus Management portfolio and works in close partnership with the Director, Campus Management and other members of the Senior Leadership team. Campus Management is responsible for the design, management, and sustainability of the University’s physical infrastructure environment. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the University’s culture, community, and long-term strategic vision.

Campus Management plans, develops, and manages UWA’s campus and property portfolio. The team delivers a wide range of services that ensure the University’s spaces are safe, sustainable, welcoming, and conducive to high quality teaching, research, and campus life.

About the opportunity

  • Provide high level strategic advice on governance, university projects, and related activities within the portfolio, under the direction of the Director of Campus Management.
  • Play a key role in delivering review initiatives and preparing reports for governance committees and follow through of action items.
  • Support the consistent and efficient corporate management of Campus Management, including the implementation of relevant University policies and procedures.

About you

  • Tertiary qualification in business management or demonstrated equivalent work experience of more than 10 years.
  • Extensive relevant experience supporting senior level staff in a high-paced, frequently changing environment, ideally within a higher education, services portfolio environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake short and long-term planning at both operational and strategic levels and determine key strategic direction.
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing briefs and reports to senior level committees at Board level.
  • Proficiency in a range of computing skills including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet and email.
