  • Contribute to training the rural medical workforce in the Great Southern region.
  • Play a key role in strengthening regional medical pathways and supporting the development of WA’s future rural doctors.
  • Part-time (0.6 FTE) appointment on a fixed term basis until December 2026, with the potential to extend.
  • Base salary range: $95,231– $100,643p.a. (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation.

About the area

The Rural Clinical School of Western Australia (RCSWA) provides rural clinical training for WA medical students and opportunities for medical professionals to inspire success in rural medical careers. The RCSWA spans a breadth of some 3,500kms across multiple sites in WA in order to provide a positive rural educational experience, increase the quantity and quality of the rural medical workforce and in turn improve health outcomes in rural and remote Australia.

About the opportunity

  • Coordinate the delivery of key objectives for the Great Southern Regional Training Hub as part of the Integrated Rural Training Pipeline (IRTP).
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with medical workforce stakeholders across the region.
  • Support project planning, reporting, analysis and implementation to enhance rural medical training pathways.

About you

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent competency.
  • Substantial relevant administrative experience at an appropriate level.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills including the ability to consult with a range of staff.
  • Highly developed organisational skills and demonstrated ability to set priorities and to meet deadlines.
  • Stakeholder engagement and outreach program development and delivery skills.

Note: Employment checks will include information on gender-based violence, sexual harassment, and related misconduct to meet legal obligations. A current National Police Clearance and “C” class driver’s licence will be required by the successful applicant. This role will require regional travel.
