  • Full-time appointment on an ongoing basis.
  • Base salary range: $95,231– $100,643p.a. plus 17% superannuation.

About the area

The Brand, Marketing and Recruitment (BMR) Division brings together UWA’s marketing, communications, engagement and event functions to strengthen the University’s reputation and drive student growth. 

Within BMR, the Central Events team partners with faculties and units across UWA to deliver consistent, high‑quality events that showcase the University to students, alumni, community and stakeholders.

About the opportunity

  • Coordinate, plan and deliver a diverse portfolio of UWA events including graduations, recruitment events, Open Day, and other key engagement activities, ensuring high-quality execution and a positive participant experience
  • Work closely with stakeholders and suppliers to manage event logistics, support brand alignment and deliver high‑quality event experiences.
  • Contribute to budget tracking, post‑event reporting and continuous improvement to enhance the effectiveness of UWA’s central events program.

About you

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent experience in events, communications, marketing or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating events in a complex environment, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders and deadlines.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with a strong client service focus and the ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, with proven ability to coordinate event logistics, maintain detailed documentation and support delivery within budget
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, use initiative and problem-solve effectively while contributing positively as part of a team.
