The Development and Alumni Relations (DAR) team leads the design and delivery of the University’s Alumni, Philanthropy, and Community strategies, driving our bold ambition to double both alumni engagement and philanthropic participation. With a strong outward‑facing focus, DAR actively engages with our dynamic and passionate communities while working collaboratively across all levels of the University to embed alumni and philanthropic engagement into core institutional practice.
About the opportunity
- Lead the strategic direction and operational delivery of UWA’s alumni and community engagement programs as a core member of the DAR executive leadership team.
- Drive inclusive, scalable engagement initiatives that deepen alumni participation, strengthen community partnerships, and elevate UWA’s global presence.
- Build and lead a high‑performing team while working closely with senior leaders, volunteers, and external partners to deliver measurable impact.
About you
- Proven senior leadership experience delivering complex, multi‑channel engagement or community programs in a large, complex organisation.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing alumni, advancement, or community engagement strategies with measurable outcomes.
- Strong stakeholder and relationship management capability, including influence at executive and volunteer governance levels.
- Data‑informed decision‑maker with experience using insights to shape strategy and improve performance.
- Collaborative leader with the credibility to work across faculties, professional services, and external partners.
