About the area
The Directorate of Student Success and Progression plays a pivotal role in delivering UWA’s strategic goal of providing a world‑class student experience. Sitting within the Education Portfolio, the Directorate oversees key functions across the student lifecycle, including Admissions, Enrolments, Fees, Scholarships, Timetabling, Student Advising, Exams, and Graduation.
The Student Offices team partners closely with Academic and Professional staff to deliver integrated and student-centred services that support academic success, retention, and progression.
About the opportunity
- Lead a team of Student Advisors and Student Assistants, providing high-level guidance, coaching and operational oversight to ensure the delivery of exceptional student services.
- Drive strategic planning, workflow optimisation and continuous improvement, ensuring high-quality, compliant and efficient processes across the student service portfolio.
- Influence service design and policy implementation by engaging with senior stakeholders, committees and Schools to improve student outcomes and strengthen service delivery.
About you
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or demonstrated equivalent competency.
- Strong leadership and management experience, with the ability to develop, support and empower staff.
- Extensive administrative expertise in student services or a comparable operational area.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to influence and negotiate at senior levels.
- Proven ability to interpret policy, solve complex problems and make informed decisions with a high degree of autonomy.
