  • Base salary range: $77,205 – $82,011p.a. plus 17% superannuation.

About the area

The Brand, Marketing and Recruitment (BMR) division brings together the University’s marketing, communications, engagement, and contact centre functions to strengthen UWA’s reputation and support student growth.

Within BMR, the Marketing Performance and Operations team operates as a central hub that supports student acquisition through digital platforms, CRM systems, websites, marketing automation, and inbound and outbound contact centre services.

The Telephony Support Officer plays a key role ensuring callers receive timely assistance and a positive experience when engaging with the University.

About the opportunity

  • Act as the concierge for UWA’s general telephone line, delivering high‑quality customer service to a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Build strong knowledge of university services and contacts while contributing to a professional, responsive, and customer‑focused team environment.

About you

  • You have considerable experience in a customer service, contact centre, or front‑of‑house role, preferably within a large or complex organisation.
  • You communicate clearly and professionally, with well‑developed listening, questioning and rapport‑building skills.
  • You are organised, able to manage competing priorities and remain composed when handling sensitive or urgent enquiries.
  • You can work effectively both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and sound judgement.

Note: Employment checks will include information on gender-based violence, sexual harassment, and related misconduct to meet legal obligations. A current National Police Clearance will be required by the successful applicant.
