Dental Clinic Assistants (Casual Pool)

  • Hourly Rate: $33.03 – $35.69 per hour plus superannuation.

About the area
The Oral Health Centre of Western Australia (OHCWA), part of the UWA Dental School, is a collaborative centre for oral health education, research, and specialist care in Western Australia. Each year, the Centre treats around 14,000 patients while delivering clinical and technical training programs for dental students. As part of the School of Dentistry, OHCWA provides specialist care to eligible patients in partnership with the Department of Health and plays a key role in dental education for future professionals.

About the opportunity

  • Provide clinical assistance to dental students and OHCWA clinical staff during patient treatment.
  • Maintain high standards of infection control and hygiene throughout the clinic.
  • Provide patient care and conduct administrative duties as required within the clinic.

About you

  • Completion of Certificate III or Certificate IV in Dental Clinic Assisting or equivalent.
  • Current knowledge of dental assisting procedures and experience in dental assistance within public dental or teaching facilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks

Note: A current first aid certificate and working with children check will be required by the successful applicant.
