  • Full-time appointment on a fixed term basis for 2 years.
  • Base salary range: $95,231 – $100,643 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.

About the area

The Cooperative Research Centre for Transformations in Mining Economies (CRC TiME) is a 10-year industry-led research program which commenced in 2020.  CRC TiME is an independent, not for profit organisation established to coordinate and fund a portfolio of research projects drawing on funding committed by government, industry, and research partner organisations. We are a unique collaboration of over 80 partners from leading mining and mining service companies, community and regional organisations, State and Commonwealth governments and the research sector.

CRC TiME is co-hosted by the University of Western Australia (UWA), the University of Queensland (UQ)and research partners, with offices in Perth and Brisbane.

CRC TiME conducts research across six Program areas:

  • Regional economic development
  • Risk, evaluation and planning
  • Operational solutions
  • Data integration, forecasting and scale
  • Education and training; and
  • Cross-cutting (holistic projects spanning across all other areas of focus).

About the opportunity

  • Facilitate a diverse portfolio of end user focused research and translation projects which are delivered by research partner institutions in collaboration with industry and government partners.
  • Undertake operational tasks to support the research portfolio and monitor progress of funded research projects.
  • Collaborate across the CRC TiME team, working closely with this position’s UQ counterpart, and the Research Operations Manager, under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer; and in collaboration with the Research Director and Program Leaders.

About you

  • A degree with subsequent relevant experience; or equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Experience in research administration at a university or major research institution, with an understanding of research funding agreements and research projects.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, with good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • An understanding and/or experience of Government funding schemes, particularly those with industry linkages and cross-institutional collaborations is desirable.
  • Experience using a Salesforce database is desirable.
