  • Base salary range: $116,262 to $127,078 plus 17% superannuation

The function of the Solutions Delivery unit is to plan, deliver and support enterprise technology solutions that enable teaching, learning, research and administrative excellence. It provides secure, reliable and accessible digital solutions and services to support innovation, collaboration and efficiency across the University.

About the opportunity

  • Lead the research, design and delivery of user‑centred experiences and interfaces for major University digital products and services, ensuring they are intuitive, accessible and aligned with user needs, business outcomes within assigned projects or portfolios.​
  • Plan, coordinate and conduct advanced UX activities such as stakeholder workshops, user interviews, journey mapping, usability testing and feedback analysis to inform evidence‑based design decisions.​
  • Create and maintain UX/UI artefacts such as user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes and high‑fidelity interface designs, ensuring consistency and quality within the assigned project using contemporary design tools and methods.​

About you

  • Tertiary qualification in Interaction Design, UX Design, Graphic Design, Digital Media, Human‑Computer Interaction or a related discipline, or demonstrated equivalent competency.​
  • Substantial experience in a senior UX/UI Designer (or equivalent role) delivering end-to-end design for responsive web and mobile products within complex, multi-stakeholder environments, including large-scale, content-driven platforms (e.g. CMS, DXP, enterprise web ecosystems).
  • Demonstrated proficiency with industry-standard design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch or equivalent, and the ability to maintain production ready design specifications and standards within a team or unit.
  • Advanced skills in user‑centred design, including conducting user research, journey mapping, information architecture, interaction design and usability testing for significant digital initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of web and application technologies, including responsive and mobile-first design, design systems and collaboration with front‑end developers, with the ability to balance user needs, technical constraints and business objectives within assigned projects.​
