The Brand, Marketing and Recruitment (BMR) division showcases the very best of The University of Western Australia, enhancing the University's reputation and driving student engagement and growth. Bringing together marketing, communications, digital experience, engagement, events and recruitment functions, BMR delivers a connected and strategic approach to audience engagement.

Within BMR, the Marketing Performance and Operations team acts as a cross-functional hub that integrates strategic marketing, digital experience and CRM capability to drive student acquisition and marketing performance. The team leads student recruitment marketing, marketing automation, lead nurture, digital experience optimisation, enquiry management and schools marketing initiatives, supporting both domestic and international growth objectives.

About the opportunity

  • Lead the strategic planning, development and delivery of integrated, multi-channel go-to-market programs aligned to the University’s growth and recruitment objectives, with accountability for school (faculty) marketing and priority cohort initiatives, including Indigenous, regional and low socio-economic audiences.
  • Provide transformational leadership to a multidisciplinary team, fostering a high-performance culture and building strong partnerships with key stakeholders to develop strategic business insight, optimise marketing performance, and deliver measurable outcomes through data analysis, reporting and continuous improvement.

About you

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in marketing or a related discipline, with demonstrated equivalent professional experience.
  • Extensive experience in marketing strategy, go-to-market planning and integrated campaign delivery, driving audience-led growth through paid, earned and owned media ecosystems.
  • Demonstrated leadership of high-performing marketing teams, with the ability to engage and develop staff, prioritise high-value initiatives, evaluate performance and deliver measurable outcomes through a data-driven approach.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, influencing and relationship management skills, with the ability to build productive partnerships and collaborate effectively across complex organisations.

Desirable: Experience within the higher education sector.
