About the area
The McCusker Centre for Citizenship (The Centre) was established in late 2015. The Centre is collaborating with students and more than 650 not profit and community organisations, and government agencies to make a difference in our communities locally, nationally and globally.
The McCusker Centre for Citizenship offers an award winning structured, quality internship program with not for profit, community and government organisations locally, regionally and globally. Since establishment, more than 5,000 internships have been undertaken contributing more than 500,000 hours of service to the community.
The Centre also offers students a selection of other programs for example, Minor in Active Citizenship.
About the opportunity
- You will provide administrative support to the McCusker Chair in Citizenship, Academic Coordinator and Manager industry Partnerships to assist in the operations of the McCusker Centre for Citizenship.
- Facilitate a diverse range of project-based administrative tasks to assist in the development and implementation of the Centre’s activities and programs. Liaise closely with internal and external stakeholders of the Centre to achieve project outcomes, such as executive support to coordinate and administer the day-to-day operational tasks of the Centre.
About you
- A relevant degree with subsequent experience; OR
- Extensive experience and specialist expertise, or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields; OR
- An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work with a diverse range of people from across the university and broader community.
- Substantial experience working in an administrative/project support role.
