About the area

Campus Management is responsible for planning, developing, managing and operating The University of Western Australia’s physical estate and infrastructure. Working within the Estate Strategy team, you will help shape a future-focused, sustainable and inclusive campus environment that supports world-class teaching, research and community engagement.

The team leads strategic estate planning, campus master planning, design frameworks and precinct development initiatives, ensuring the University's built, natural and cultural assets continue to support its long-term strategic objectives. Drawing on best practice in urban planning, campus development and stakeholder engagement, the team delivers projects that balance heritage, sustainability, accessibility and innovation.

About the opportunity

  • Lead stakeholder engagement across academic, professional and external partners to inform campus master planning, estate strategy, design frameworks and development priorities.
  • Coordinate the delivery and ongoing evolution of UWA's Campus Masterplan, precinct plans, heritage and cultural heritage frameworks, public realm initiatives and place-making programs, working across multidisciplinary technical teams and stakeholders to deliver integrated planning outcomes
  • Provide strategic advice, analysis and governance support across campus development projects, ensuring alignment with sustainability, inclusivity, accessibility, urban design and institutional objectives.

About you

  • Degree with at least four years of subsequent relevant work experience, or extensive experience and demonstrated management expertise in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Experience in stakeholder management in education or large-scale institutional environments.
  • Knowledge of planning legislation, approvals processes, codes, regulatory and development requirements in Western Australia including statutory planning, urban design, and relevant policy frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with diverse stakeholders including executives, government agencies, consultants, community groups, and multidisciplinary technical teams.
  • High level analytical and conceptual skills with the ability to translate vision into practical frameworks and deliverables.
