- Base salary range: $104,243 – $115,661 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.
- This role is based in Perth CBD.
About the area
WABSI is a collaborative, unincorporated joint venture managing a research portfolio relevant to the management of the State’s biodiversity resources. The Western Australian Feral Cat Working Group (the Working Group; www.wafcwg.org.au) was formed in 2020 to oversee the delivery of the WABSI research plan for managing feral cats, and to improve cat management across the state. The area plays a key role in supporting the University’s strategic and operational priorities, delivering high‑quality services to staff, students, and external partners. The team works within a collaborative, solutions‑focused environment that values continuous improvement, evidence‑based decision‑making, and strong stakeholder relationships.
About the opportunity
- Support the Working Group to achieve its objectives through coordination of meetings, workshops and symposia.
- Coordinating and enabling (e.g. planning and implementation) research activities, including seeking funding and sharing findings, as required.
- Lead the preparation and dissemination of information to the public and stakeholders, including maintaining the Working Group website and stakeholder database/s.

- Demonstrated capability aligned to the role’s key responsibilities, supported by clear evidence of delivery.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a complex environment.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
Special Requirements
