- Base salary range: $83,212 – $92,231 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation.
About the area
College Services provides academic administration and technical support across UWA’s Schools, ensuring high-quality services that contribute to the University’s teaching and research objectives. Technical Services delivers discipline-specific expertise across a broad Life Sciences portfolio, including gross anatomy, physiology, sports science, optometry and podiatry. The team supports laboratories, fieldwork, equipment stewardship, research training, program coordination, and safe systems of work.
About the opportunity
- Provide high-level technical support for teaching and research activities across Life Sciences
- Support the postgraduate Optometry program, including clinic teaching laboratories
- Contribute to compliance, safety systems, and high‑quality technical operations within the work area.
About you
- Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent competency - Experience in optics is highly desirable.
- Substantial relevant technical experience at an appropriate level.
- Experience in implementing a range of policies and procedures to support teaching and research from a technical and scientific perspective.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly developed organisational skills and demonstrated ability to set priorities and to meet deadlines.
